ORIGINAL WATERCOLOUR, signed by Gerard W.Willott, (170x215mm with border 50-60mm around), painting features a ship, looks like the survey ship H.M.A.S.Moresby, with map of New Guinea behind and naval officer's hat and survey maps, books and instruments in front and at the side a hanging picture of a sailing ship and the year 1945, and on the border below is written, 'To Lieut.Commander Gould with the compliments of the Cartographic Staff.' Framed under glass ready to hang, extremely fine.
