SOLD $1,100

IRELAND, Bank of Ireland, one pound, 24 Nov. 1909, Dublin, uniface red and black on white, number G/95 50490, Hibernias and Medusa Heads type, printed signature of W(illiam) H(aughton) Baskin, (P.74 unlisted date, Blake and Callaway BA 65a unlisted date but of this type). Very fine and extremely rare, an unlisted date.

This note with the prefix G/95 has no link to the Blake & Callaway listing BA 65a which commences with H/18. The G series is only known for G/14 for the BA 54 type. That is this note comes between the two listed numbers.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
