NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE sestertius, issued c.64, Balkan or Lugdunum (Lyons) mint, (26.57 g), obv. laureate head to right of Nero, around NERO CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG GERM P M TR P IMP PP, rev. arch with quadriga above and two out figures beside quadriga Sol and Augustus and smaller figures at extreme edge of arch, Mars standing in left niche, S C across field, (S.1962, RIC 161, cf.RPC 1758). Good fine, Tiber patina, and very rare.
