ATTICA, Athens, (166-57 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.66 g), issued 157-6 B.C., (Thompson date) but probably 125-4 B.C. (revised chronology), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right wearing triple-crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with Pegasus, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, on prostrate amphora, to left a tripod, legend across **A QE, POLE-MWN, LAKE-THS, DIONU/SOD[W], SW* below, **D* on amphora, (cf.S.2555, Thompson 465n same obverse die, reverse die type noted in ANS noted). Nearly very fine and rare.

This specimen type not noted by Thompson with all these legends and letters but cannot confirm reverse die.
