THOMAS BANKS, (1735-1805), bronze medal by L.C.Wyon, AE 55, with obverse after G.Dance, as part of Art Union of London series, struck 1858, as a Laudatory medal, obv. Thomas Banks bust draped to left, rev. Part of Banks decoration of Sir Eyre Coote's tomb (a naked Hindu seated upon a pedestal) (BHM 2633; Eimer 1523; Beaulah 10 [p.183]; Pudd. 858.1). Extremely fine.
