SHARE CERTIFICATE TO AUSTRALIA'S WWI MINISTER OF DEFENCE, Rialto Rubber Proprietary Limited, Kensington, one hundred shares, 3 June 1927, named to Sir George F.Pearce, together with four letters addressed to Senator Sir Geo F Pearce re the share purchase and a handwritten note signed with initials G.F.P. All pinned at top left corner, fine - very fine. (6)

Sir George Foster Pearce was responsible for the passage of Australia's first Naval Defence Act 1910 and the subsequent establishment of a Naval Board and the Naval Training College. He also established the Central Flying School and was the Minister of Defence from September 1914 until December 1921. See his full history in the Australian Dictionary of Biography.
