ZEUGITANIA, Carthage, (c.350-320 B.C.), gold stater, (9.28 g), obv. head of Tanit to left, crowned with wreath of corn, wearing earring with triple pendants and necklace, dotted border, rev. free horse standing to right, single exergue line below, three dots before horse's front leg, dotted border, (cf.S.6446, Jenkins Group IIIg cf.No.73 [similar dies], McClean 9979). Slightly off centred on the reverse and less so on the obverse, otherwise extremely fine.
