CHINA, Empire, forgery of the Sinkiang Province, Kashgar silver tael coin, 40mm (36.32 g), c.1907 type, obv. Kashgar above, below one tael, Turki legend with partial date, rev. dragon, with wreath around, [the letters are poorly written and of wrong style], edge with meandering pattern, (cf.Kann 1120 but a forgery, cf.KM.Y.26.1). Extremely fine with flat toned field, not noted in Kann as a forgery.
