CEYLON, (Sri Lanka) period of the Chola invasion, c990-1070, gold kahavanu (4.2g), obverse king reclining right, holding annulet, reverse king standing facing, head right, holding globule, altar, flames, conch, pellets, and lotus around (Mitchiner, Non-Islamic 825; Fr.1). Holed at 1 on edge, otherwise very fine.
