CAPTAIN COOK DISCOVERY OF AUSTRALIA BICENTENARY, 1970, Royal Doulton loving cup in basalt (approx 21cm high x 28cm from handle to handle), one side features a bust of Captain Cook and the other side has Captain Cook with crew in long boat arriving at shore to meet aborigines, gold lettering around the top lip reads, 'Captain Cook 1770 . Australia . 1970', bottom of cup bears the Royal Doulton mark and No.149 of only 500 issued. In Royal Doulton case of issue, some tape residue on inside, otherwise uncirculated.
