PHOENICIA, Tyre, (c.2nd century B.C. - 1st century A.D.), silver shekel or tetradrachm, (13.58 g), Tyre mint, issued year 32 = 95-94 B.C., obv. laureate head of Melqarth beardless to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, carrying palm, standing on prow of ship, club to left, above B**L*, monogram to right, Phoenecian aleph between legs, around **TUROU IER[AS [KAI ASUL]OU*, (S.5918, BMC 120-1, DCA 919). Pitted surface, good fine - nearly very fine and scarce.
