REPUBLIC, Anonymous, (c.235 B.C.), silver didrachm, (6.08 g), Rome mint, obv. helmeted head of Mars right, club behind, rev. horse prancing right, club above, ROMA below, (S.30, Cr.27/1, Syd. 23, RSC 32). Slightly pitted surface, deeply toned, very fine and rare.

Ex RJM collection and an early collection with tickets.

Recent examples of this rare didrachm have realised USD$1000-$2000.
