BEGA CUP AND PLATE, 1920, presentation medal in gold, (15ct, 8.39g, 30mm), obverse engraved with a P.B. monogram, reverse inscribed, Presented/To/Percy Bill/For/Training Bartelle/Winner Of/Bega Cup and Plate/Jan 1920, scrollwork mount marked 15ct. Extremely fine and rare.

A report of the day notes that Bartelle was fancied for the Plate and won convincingly on a heavy track.
