EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, issued 285-261 B.C., (13.60 g), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Ptolemy II to right, with aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, H above club, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU*, (S.7773, Sv. 637, SNG Cop 478). Toned, surface marks on obverse, countermarks on reverese, fine, scarce.
