AURELIUS RUFUS, (144 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.90 g), obv. Roma helmeted head right, X behind, rev. Jupiter in quadriga to right, hurling thunderbolt, AV RVF monogram below, ROMA in exergue, (S.97, Cr.221/1, Syd.409, RSC Aurelia 19). Lightly toned, nearly very fine and rare.
