ANCIENT BRITISH, North Thames Region, Catuvellauni and Trinovantes, Inscribed coins, Cunobelinus Classic type, (c.10-41 A.D.), gold stater, (5.38 g), obv. ear of corn with central stalk, scrolls at base of stem, CA to left, M[V] to right, rev. classic-style horse to right, standing on exergual line and rearing up on hind legs, branch above, (S.288, ABC 2798, Van A 2027, NT 8, BMC 1829-31, M 207, CCI 07.1115 [this coin]). Beautiful rose gold, sharp corn ear, bold inscriptions, nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.
