COLONIAL AUXILIARY FORCES OFFICERS DECORATION, (GRI), hallmarked for London 1918, maker SG (Garrard & Co Ltd - Sebastian Garrard), with brooch bar suspender. Major H Speed A.G.A. Engraved. Toned extremely fine.

Major Speed was Staff Officer at the Australian Garrison Artillery, Geelong, Victoria. He was considered by the men as the 'father' of Geelong artillery companies. He was also President of the Australian Garrison Artillery Social Club at Geelong.
