GERMANY, WWII, Allied POW identity disc for a prisoner interned at Stalag VIIIB, in zinc, tag stamped with prisoner number '30797' and 'Stalag VIIIB'. Extremely fine.

The camp was opened in Landsdorf, Germany in 1939 to house Polish prisoners from the German September 1939 offensive. Later, approx 100,000 prisoners including from Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Netherlands, Poland, Soviet Union, United Kingdom and USA passed through this camp.
