MEXICO, Philip IV (1621-65) cob eight reales, no visible date, Mexico City Mint, assayer P (1634-1665), (34.5422g total weight). Set in a heavy silver pendant frame with loop and ring, very fine.

Ex 'Vergulde Draeck' or 'Gilt Dragon' wreck. With Western Australian Museum Certificate No.13187, Permit No.WA 17/08.

This coin cannot be removed from Australia in accordance with the Commonwealth of Australia Historic Shipwrecks Act 1976.
