NEW ZEALAND, New Zealand Expeditionary Forces, Departure of Twentieth Reinforcements, Next-of-Kin, admit to Enclosure pass, written on back in pencil, 'Arts' Sendoff Nov 8th/Sailed from Wellington/Saturday Dec 30th 1916/at 4 p.m. in the/Athenic'; WWII, Leave Ration Card, Navy, Army and Air Force No. 34590 C and 34798 C, both stamped for Area 10, one dated 16 Apr 1943, the other 5 May 1943, both with two coupons cut out from bottom edge; Sleeping-berth Order for Wives of Members of Parliament, order no.1058, not to be used after 31st December 1941, named to Mrs T.D.Burnett. The first and last extremely fine, the second two items very fine. (4)

Thomas Burnett was the Reform Party member (1919-1935) and then National Party member (from 1935) for the rural Temuka electorate until his death on 30 November 1941.
