ANCIENT BRITISH, North Thames Region, Catuvellauni and Trinovantes, Inscribed coins, Cunobelinus Pegasus Victory Right type, (c.8-41 A.D.), bronze unit, (2.69 g), obv. Pegasus to left, CAMV below, beaded border, rev. Victory standing to right, holding wreath, [C]V behind, NO in front, (S.333, ABC 2927, Van A 1979, NT 8, BMC 1931-34, M 231). Glossy dark green patina, bold Pegasus, clear Victory, good very fine and rare, one of the finest known.
