GEORGE III, emergency issue, oval countermark silver dollar (S.3765A) false (?) countermark on silver plated 1792 eight reales of Chile, Santiago Mint, a contemporary counterfeit produced in Birmingham (?). Surface flaws, edge nicks, otherwise very fine and interesting.

Ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 105 (lot 1817).
