ESPIRITU SANTO NAVAL OFFICERS' CLUB, WWII, Coupon Book, value $5.00, (cover value - 25c), low no.162 stamped on bottom, and date stamped 'Oct 1 (illegible)', book empty but loose coupons for 5c (5), 10c (9, includes two joined), 25c (2). Cover with foxing, stains on back and rusted staple at edge, most coupons with foxing at outer edge, otherwise good - nearly extremely fine and rare. (17)
In WWII there was a U.S. Naval Operating Base at Espiritu Santo which is in the New Hebrides group of islands.
