CHINA, Republic, Sun Yat Sen Memento dollar (1927), (26.59 g), (KM.Y.318a.1). Brilliant, extremely fine.

This coin and all the other similar coins in the following lots come from one vendor, who claims they were all found together buried and were recovered and have been held in their family possession for many years. It seems probable that the hoard was buried either before or during the Japanese occupation or shortly afterwards during the civil war from 1945-1950. Many of the coins show evidence of burial and oxidation adding validity to the above claims.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
