SCOTLAND, Buteshire, Rothsay, William Kelly's Rothsay Mills, halfpennies, ring punch countermark 'Payable at Rothsay Mills' on a thin unstamped copper blank; another on a William III halfpenny; another on a George III halfpenny (1770-5) with additional S countermarked on the reverse. Fine - very fine. (3)

Ex Alan McRae Collection, from W.J.Noble Collection, Sale 58B (lots 1581, 2), the first ex Walter Allen Collection (lot 30), second ex Alan Hannah collection (lot 668 part) and the third acquired in the 1960s.
