ROMANO-BRITISH, 2nd-3rd century A.D., bronze seal boxes, one of teardrop form, hinged and pierced (30mm long); the other of circular form with concentric circular design (often associated with the military), (25mm long). Very fine, intact and rare. (2)

Ex Roman Relics, North Yorkshire UK, with tickets.

These seal boxes are often found in Roman Britain and were used to house the wax seals of the sender when it was attached with a cord to boxes or documents.
