HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), gold aureus, issued 137, Rome mint, (7.11 g), obv. bare head to right of Hadrian, drapery on far shoulder, around HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, rev. SPES P R around, Spes standing to left holding flower and lifting skirt, (S.3420, RIC 274, C.1414, Calico 1380 [same dies], BMC 732). Full flan, nearly extremely fine, and rare.
