It is noted that when gangsters armed with swords and bamboo spears attacked Eta (a caste group socially ostracised in Japanese society) at Takasu near Onomichi during the occupation of Japan killing one man and injuring ten others, one of the investigators from 66 Bn was Pte D.B.Fry.

The above GSM with two clasps is the full, official medal entitlement for D.B.Fry for all his service from 1946-1968.
