RAAF EDINBURGH GOLDEN JUBILEE, 2004, in gilt (60mm), with small dimple on rim after H of Edinburgh, obverse, Bristol Freighter above a Lockheed P-3C Orion, reverse, crest of RAAF Base Edinburgh. In black velvet drawstring satchel of issue, uncirculated and scarce.

RAAF Base Edinburgh is located about 25kms from Adelaide, South Australia. The Bristol Freighter was the first aircraft to land at the base when it opened in 1954. The Lockheed P-3C Orions are the RAAF's frontline maritime patrol aircraft that conduct surveillance operations serving in 92 Wing out of Edinburgh. The availability to purchase this medallion was limited to personnel working at Edinburgh.
