VALENTINIAN I (A.D. 364-375), gold solidus in a modern gold mount, Antioch mint, issued 364-367, (6.09 g), Officina **G*, obv. pearl diademed, draped and cuirassed bust to right of Valentinian I around DN VALENTINI ANVS PF AVG, rev. Valentinian standing facing head to right, holding labarum and Victory on globe, RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE around, ANT**G* in exergue, (S.19267, RIC 2a xxxviii.3, C.28). Has been bent and straightened, surface marks from wear, nearly very fine.
