SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrios I, (162-155 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.44 g), Antioch mint, issued period 158, (155/4 B.C.), obv. diademed head of Demetrios to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **DHMHTRIOU*, monograms in left field, in exergue HN**R* (S.7014, SNG Spaer 1641.3c, Houghton 154). Toned, mild porosity, very fine.
