GALBA, (A.D. 68-69), silver denarius, issued July 68 - January 69, Rome mint, (3.32 g), obv. bare head to right of Galba, around IMP SER GALBA AVG, rev. S P Q R / OB / C S, in three lines within oak wreath, (S.2109, BMC 34 cor., RIC 167, RSC 287). Toned, minor green deposits, nearly extremely fine with an impressive portrait.

Ex CNG, Auction 103, lot 818. Previously Aufhauser 12 (1 October 1996), lot 494.
