GALBA (A.D. 68-69), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. June-August 68 (22.60 g), obv. laureate head of Galba to right, around SER GALBA IMP CAES AVG TR P, rev. in exergue PAX AVGVST, S C either side of Pax seated to left, holding branch and resting left arm on throne, (cf.S.2119 (different reverse), RIC -), Tiber type patina, obverse surface marks and scratches, fine - nearly very fine and unpublished for reverse.

Ex C. Weber Collection and previously from Platz, 16 March, 1981, with tickets and envelope.
