TRAJAN, (A.D. 98-117), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued 103-111, (25.78 g), obv. laureate head of Trajan to right with drapery on far shoulder, IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P, rev. Salus seated to left, feeding a snake arising from altar before her, around S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI, S C in exergue, (S.3199, RIC 515, C.485). Dark green patina, some smoothing and tooling, otherwise very fine or better and very scarce.
