ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), AE sestertius, (23.22 g), Rome mint, issued A.D. 142, obv. laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right, around ANTONINVS AVG PI VS P P TR P COS III, rev. Genius of the Senate standing left, holding branch and sceptre, around GENIO SENATVS, S C across field, (S.4177, RIC 605, cf.C.400, BMC 1241). Attractive deep brown toning, very fine or better and scarce.
