SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D.193-211), AE As, "Victoria Britannica" issue of late A.D.211, Rome mint, (12.56 g), obv. SEVERVS [PIV]S AVG around laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, rev. [VICT BRIT P M TR P XIX] COS III PP around, Victory standing right holding vexillum and with captives seated in front of her, (S.6477, RIC 812b, C.724). Deep chocolate patina, some surface flaking, otherwise very fine and rare.
