SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D. 222-235), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 231, (21.29 g), obv. laureate head of Severus Alexander to right, rev. around FIDES MILITVM, S C across field, Fides standing facing left, holding two standards, (S.7964, RIC 552, C.54); dupondius, issued 231-235, (14.07 g), rev. Providentia or Annona standing left by modius, holding corn ears and cornucopiae, (S.8050, RIC 643, C 506); denarius, issued 222-228, (3.07 g), rev. Aequitas standing left, holding scales and cornucopia, (cf.S.7856, RIC 127, RSc 9). Toning, nearly very fine - very fine. (3)
