GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver denarius, (2.82 g), Rome mint, obv. laureate bust to right of Gordian III, draped and cuirassed, rev. Pietas standing facing, raising both hands, (S.8677, RIC 129, C.186); another, (2.79 g), rev. around SECVRITAS PVBLICA, Securitas seated to left, holding sceptre, (S.8682, RIC 130, RSC 340); antoninianus, (5.03 g), rev. Gordian in military dress, standing right with spear & globe, (S.8646, RIC 92, RSC 253) (illustrated); AE As, 8.07 g), rev. Laetitia standing left, holding wreath and anchor, (S.8782, RIC 300b, C.123). Toned, very fine - extremely fine. (4)
