CARINUS, as Caesar, (A.D. 282-285), billon antoninianii, Lugdunum mint, issued 283-5, (4.51, 3.56, 2.76 g), obv. IMP C M AVR CARINVS AVG, radiate cuirassed bust to right of Carinus, rev. AEQVITAS AVGG, Aequitas facing left, holding scales and cornucopiae, A to right, (S.12339, RIC 212b) (3); another, (3.67 g), rev. Emperor standing right holding spear and globe, around SAECVLI FELICITAS, D to right, (S.12354, RIC 214b) (illustrated). Toning, very fine - nearly extremely fine with some silvering, rare. (4)
