ANCIENT ROMAN AND PROVINCIAL ISSUES, Augustus, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), chipped silver denarius, uncertain Spanish mint, issued c.19 B.C., (2.93 g), obv. bare head of Augustus to right around [CAESAR] AVGVSTVS, rev. [SIGNIS] RECEPTIS on either side of Mars standing left, head right, with aquila and standard, (S.1632, RIC 82a, RSC 259, BMC 414); Claudius, (A.D. 41-54), AE quadrans, issued A.D.42, (3.09 g), obv. [TI CLAV]DIVS CAESAR [AVG] around and holding scales PNR below, rev. SC around [PON M TR P] IMP COS DES IT, (S.1864, RIC 85); another, (2.62 g), obv. three legged modius, (cf.S.1865, RIC 88, BMC 179); Roman Procurator of Judaea, Antonius Felix under Claudius, (A.D. 52-59), copper prutah, (2.69 g), obv. in wreath tied with X at bottom in four lines, IOY/ **LIA AG/ RIPPI/ NA, (Julia Agrippina wife of Claudius), rev. two crossed palm branches, around TI **KLAUDIO*C KAICAP **GERM (Tiberius Claudius Caesar Germanicus), below date across L I**D*, L I**D* = year 14 = A.D. 54), (S.5625, H.1347, AJC II Supplement V, No.32, Meshorer 232). Toned, fine - very fine, the denarius chipped but scarce. (4)
