TRANSYLVANIA, Principality, Sigismund Bathori, first and second reigns, (1581-1599), gold ducat (3.49 g), 1590, obv.SIGISMVND BATHORI, Madonna seated facing on crescent, holding infant Christ, rev. St.Ladislas standing with halbert holding orb with cross and sword, dividing date 15 90, around PRINCEPS TRANS[SYL]VA, (cf.Resch 48 [Pl.8], KM.Fr.297). Very fine and rare.
