FAMILY GROUP - ONE DIED AS A POW: (Brother 1) Group of Five: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. VX38422 C.Wren on first second and fourth medals, VX38422 C.R.Wren on third and fifth medals.; (Brother 2) Pair: War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. 146856 A.G.W.Wren on both medals. All medals in both groups impressed. Two groups, the stars extremely fine, the rest very fine.

Clifford Roy Wren, Signalman with 8 Division Signals, born 28Apr1920 at Carlton, Vic; Enl.29Jul1940 at Royal Park, Melbourne, Vic; reported as MIA Jul1942; believed to be a POW Aug1943; confirmed as POW in Malaya Sep1943; Died 13May1945 as POW at Ranau Camp North Borneo; Commemorated at Labuan Memorial, Borneo and also at The Australian Ex-Prisoners of War Memorial at Ballarat Botanical Gardens, Vic.

Arthur George William Wren, born 12Jul1919 at Footscray, Vic; Enl.31Jan1944 at Melbourne, Vic; Disch.03Jun1946 as Leading Aircraftman ex 12 Aircraft Repair Depot.
