CAPTAIN JAMES COOK, memorial medal, undated (1784), in bronze (43mm) (MH 374; BHM 258), by L.Pingo for the Royal Society. Very minor edge nick on reverse, otherwise dark brown patina and nearly uncirculated.

Ex Dr Barrie Towers Collection and previously ex Noble Numismatics Sale 104 (lot 737), previously the Porter Estate (lot 528) and Noble Numismatics Sale 75 (lot 494) and Dr.J.Powell Collection.
