ROMAN, bronze figure of Mercury, (c.1st-2nd century A.D.), depicted standing naked with a long cloak over his shoulder and winged cap, holding a purse in his right hand, (height 65mm). Deeply toned, missing feet, arm repaired, otherwise very fine and scarce.

From an old Sydney collection with collector's description.
