OLIVER CROMWELL, Death of Cromwell, 1658, in silver, oval, (25x20mm, 2.99 g), obverse, laureate bust armoured and draped left, reverse, a young olive tree growing next to the dead stump of an old olive tree, shepherds and their flocks behind, (MI 433/82). Toned, extremely fine and very rare.

Ex Matthew Rich Collection and previously Spink Numismatic Circular 3149, May 1988.
