BATTLE OF THE NILE, Davison's Medal, 1798, in gilt bronze (47mm) (BHM 447; Eimer 890), by C.H.Kuchler, with incuse edge inscription, 'A Tribute of Regard From Alexr Davison Esqr St.James's Square'. Very fine.

Issued in gilt bronze to Petty Officers of ships who saw service in Lord Nelson's victory of the Nile, 1 August 1798.

Ex Dr Barrie Towers Collection and previously ex Noble Numismatics Sale 87 (lot 4887).
