USA, LOS ANGELES OLYMPICS 1932 PARTICIPANT'S MEDAL, in bronze (69mm), design by Julio Kilenyi, minted by Whitehead-Hoag, USA, obverse, standing athlete carrying an unfurled banner of Xth Olympiad, reverse, two seated female figures holding shield of the United States between them, one female holds an olive branch and the other a shield bearing the seals of the State of California and also the City of Los Angeles, at the far left is a California poppy plant. Dark toned, otherwise very fine and very scarce.
