SULTANS OF DELHI, Sikandar Shah Suri, (A.H. 961-962, A.D. 1554-1555), silver rupee, Lahore Mint, (11.35 g), A.H.961 (1553-1544), (G&G D1150). Short of flan, some test marks, otherwise good very fine and very rare.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and Baldwin's Auction Sale 53, 25 September 2007, (lot 1619 and realised œ600).
Dr Flynn notes that the obverse lower margin records the mint which differs from the G&G illustration and he suggests it could be something else, (See Wright 1482 and Pl.XIX).
