VICTORIA POLICE HELMET, 1920-47, black leather with metal ventilation dome at top, with white metal number, 251, affixed on front, plain metal ball points at side for attaching chinstrap, this missing, leather sweatband with loose cloth above, on the underside of the helmet body is the maker's label, 'A.W.Sudweeks/Manufacturer/Ballarat'. Very fine.
