CHINA, Kirin, fifty tiao, Yung Heng Provincial Bank, issued 1928, with many overstamps, (P.S1091). Very fine and scarce.

The overstamps on this and other notes are seals from banks and authorities that verify the authenticity of the banknote. These seals were anti-counterfeiting measures, as well as endorsements for the note to be accepted in areas both within as well as outside of its issuing authority.
